We have built a strong leadership foundation, establishing our Board of Directors, crafting our Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation, and creating dedicated Operations, Fiscal Affairs, and Fundraising Committees.
To understand the needs of our community, we gathered valuable insights from focus groups with veterinarians and pet-owning families, and a survey of 186 pet owners.
We have developed comprehensive resources, including our Peaceful Passing for Pets website, a helpful Caregivers Guide to Pet Hospice Care, and a detailed Plan of Care covering ten key areas.
To ensure professional excellence, we created and conducted a Core Curriculum Course on pet home hospice, established a “best-practice” model of care, and defined the crucial Care Coordinator role.
We created a robust Referral Network and completed a successful Pilot Project with the U of MN College of Veterinary Medicine to refine our services.
We continue to grow by establishing a Young Professionals Advisory Board.
Once our Fundraising Goal is met, we will begin partnering with clinics so they can offer the full scope of in-home hospice care to pet owners.
